ESTIMATOR

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and blueprints, preparing accurate cost estimates, and providing recommendations for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management.

Duties:

– Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to understand the scope of work

– Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid to accurately calculate material, labor, and equipment costs

– Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for cost estimation

– Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for construction projects

– Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges

– Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids

– Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make adjustments as needed

– Provide support to the project management team in contract negotiations and change order management

– Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and other relevant documentation

Qualifications:

– Proven experience in construction estimating and cost control

– Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid

– Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques

– Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

– Strong communication and negotiation skills

– Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
